Avenue of Giant Boulders

After viewing Mill Creek Falls, we head back to The Avenue of Giant Boulders. The waterfalls are beautiful, but this is our favorite spot. It’s a little bit of a climb over some of the boulders if you want to get near the water, but we’ve been able to do it with a 4 yr old,2 yr old, and a baby.medfordmom-mill-creek-falls-6 medfordmom-mill-creek-falls-8

Warning:  these boulders are quite large  and smooth, and the river is swift and the falls are rocky.  Please take great caution.

There are some trees that have fallen, exposing their massive roots. My kids love running around here. The boulder section features calm pools of water, sandy beaches, cool scenery, and lots of opportunities to climb around, up, and over.

If you have active children that love to climb and explore, then the Boulders and natural pools they create are hours of endless fun.
