Mill Creek Falls

Mill Creek Falls (also known as Prospect State Park) is a hike we have done with our kids multiple times. We love bringing out-of-town visitors here, because the hike is easy, the views are impressive, and on a hot day – there are places to get wet and play in the water.

As you start your hike/walk, a sign identifies the falls to the right and Avenue of Giant Boulders to the left. Make a right, and in less than 15 minutes from starting you’ll arrive at Mill Creek Falls viewpoint. Another 5 minutes farther down the path will take you to Barr Creek Falls viewpoint. (A great place for pictures)

The trail is perfect for toddlers!

After viewing Mill Creek Falls, be sure to head over to the Avenue of Giant Boulders!

Mill Creek is well worth a visit. And you only need to commit a half day.  It is about a 50-minute drive up Highway 62 through Shady Cove and some of the prettiest scenery Oregon has to offer.

We have also hiked above Mill Creek Falls!

Just beware of Poison Oak! I can’t believe we walked away unscathed.

Here we are above the falls! So beautiful.
