January in the Rogue

I am starting a new series called “In the Rogue”

Here, every month, is where I will share some of the kid-friendly adventures we had throughout the Rogue Valley!

We first started the year off with TWO birthdays // January 1st & January 2nd. It’s a crazy, crazy time of year for us 

We always love starting off the month with Home Depot’s Kid Workshops. It gets us up and out of the house nice and early Saturday morning 

My kids had their yearly well checks – we love Dr. Johnson at Johnson Pediatrics – I’ve been going to him since we moved here and have always LOVED the attention and care they’ve given each of my kids.

and we had a great first dental experience with Dr. Dixon from Bear Creek Pediatrics (you can read about it HERE)

My 3 year old was able to do a free trial gymnastics class at ABK. She had an absolute blast! We love ABK and can’t wait to sign her up for a class. They offer mommy/daddy and me classes for kids under 3, but since I have an infant, we’ve been patiently waiting for this girl to finally turn 3 and go on her own!

We had so much fun at Ashland Art Center‘s FREE family art class they hold on Saturdays. It is definitely an activity we will do again and again throughout the year. We loved it! You can check out dates and times in the Calendar

 

We took advantage of a beautiful January day and explored more of Jacksonville – and taking belated Christmas pictures 

We spent a Friday night at ABK’s Open Gym. They offered a free open gym pass to anyone who downloaded their brand new app in January. They offer Open Gym/Open Swim throughout the week!

We ended the month celebrating a friend’s birthday at Scienceworks. Our year passes end in February so we’ve been trying to spend as much time there as we can! Do you know how many awesome museums throughout the country you can get in for FREE with Scienceworks passes?? A TON! We’ve used them in California, and I’m hoping to take a quick trip to Portland and visit the OMSI soon.

We have A LOT of great activities going on in February. Can’t wait to share, and hopefully give you all some inspiration for your own Rogue Valley adventures!
